I am trying (to understand). In the process, I hope to share my experiences on this platform... When I write, I need to self-talk, read, re-read, (re-write)... Then I find gaps, my mis-understandings, errors both in my writing as well as in behavior. And I get lessons on what I need to learn/improve. Then I try. I fail. I re-try. I fail. Did I? No, because I tried again. This is my way of life to lead myself: Personally and Professionally. Checkout my other blogs and work at http://www.worldOFkaizen.com/

Catch a Butterfly

The activity teaches you ...

To focus ...

To meditate ...

To catch a moment ...

To catch an opportunity if you can ...

To be ever ready since opportunities keep passing by ...

It's a hard and smart work ...

Patience ...

An eye for detail ...

The beauty around ...

To use senses ...

To be sensual ...

(Above all) To Be Happy ...

To make a story that each picture tells you ...

The Butterfly is in search of her need Just-In-Time (JIT)! JIT when she is hungry!

Nothing more, Nothing less, Nothing to hoard!
Unlike a HUMAN ... (what else do you need for) BEING ...

A string of standalone as well as interconnected Maiku³ Poems² in Malwani¹ language on: Rat-race that's rampant around... and it's side-effects.

On Rat-race ...

Encroachment effect ...

Our indifference and internal fights ...

What Opportunistics want ...

Public surrenders passively ...

True Need is... Cleanup act by everyone ...

The Transformation ...

And Leadership ...

Haiku³ is a poetic expression in few words in three lines leaving it to the reader to develop his own thoughts or paint a subject out of it.
Each of it in Maiku³ form may also be used as a riddle (उखाणा in Malwani¹ language).

Rise-n-Fall in the Rain-Fall

It was a beautiful rainy morning. A message on social-media triggered a Maiku: My Haiku poem.

A Maiku:

A message on social-media I got
That I 'ate' as food for thought
Whata realisation it brought

The message as follows stresses the need for various Gurus (coaches) in one's life. Guru: the one who helps sailing smoothly on the path to self-actualisation.

We need...
An ELECTRICIAN, to restore the current between people who do not speak to each other anymore.
An OPTICIAN, to change the outlook of people.
An ARTIST, to draw a smile on everyone's face.
A CONSTRUCTOR, to build a bridge between neighbours.
A GARDENER, to cultivate good thoughts.
And a MATHEMATICIAN, for all of us to re-learn how to add love and sympathy to our relations.

Highest form of self-actualisation though is the realisation of the Guru in 'The-Self': The one who has maximum influence, responsibility and accountability in leading one's own life! It offers a lot of opportunities in the form of difficulties to shape and improve self if one believes in 'The-Self'!

It's a matter of right-choice of the role-play!

This thought triggered a Haiku Poem in me.

Here are more MaiKu© poems on the subject:

Maiku-2:

Wow..! G-O-D in the Rainfall ..
'The-Self' has them All ..
Just a matter of taking Right-Call !
(* G-O-D Generator-Operator-Destroyer)

Maiku-3:

Nice learning from One-n-All..
Rise-n-Fall in the Rain-Fall ..
Choice decides, Rise-or-Fall !

Business Eco-rgonomics

10 am to 6 pm they run from one bus to other bus under the scorching Sun.

Running from passenger-to-passenger they end up earning Rs 200 maximum. One of them shared his plight.

Purchase price of water bottle 16.
Selling price 18.

He had to swap the load off from his head on to his shoulder supporting it by one hand (and back again) a couple of times within a minute. Why because it was unbearably inconvenient to rest there for more than a few seconds at one place.

That's all the margin? I  exclaimed.

Yes sir!

These shops on bus-stand have monopoly. (This story is about the Swar-gate bus-stand in Pune India.) They get water bottles for Rs 6. They earn Rs 10. We get Rs 2 after all this (he wiped his) perspiration.

They hold licenses. We don't get hawking licenses to sell anything inside the stand because of lobbying by the shops. Police drives us out or puts us in custody if we try to sell.

In fact if we get the bottles directly at Rs 6 we can sell them at 15 so that end customer gets it cheaper by Rs 3. It's the middleman who makes it expensive to end consumer.

Commonsense economics of demand and supply!

He went on to narrate story of the 'corruption in the supply-chain': Result of a nexus among government officials, state transport officials, police and the traders/shops.

The 'hawker' who tries to unite against this practice is forced out of the supply-chain by 'divide-and-rule' policy.

And we can't afford it. I have been doing this for last two decades from the age of nine. I'm from landless farmer family with old parents at home and brothers, sisters. I'm not married. Who will (marry me)? Don't know what to do.

(By the way) Have you taken our pictures to publish in newspaper?

No. Actually I had thought of writing about economics and lack of ergonomics in your business. Now I'm going to write about your entrepreneurship and smile on your face in spite of your hardships.

I patted him and bought a bottle. What else could I've done accept for promising him to write (so that some people in power read) this.

Lost in thoughts I boarded my bus to Mumbai.

This poem is about paradigm shift on an eternal fight between a Boss and his subordinate.

Marathi Version

'तू' is the G-O-D (Generator-Operator-Destroyer) in you.

Thipoem is about feelings of a typical father's ward.
It's about pushing oneself to think how to make-a-difference.
It's about how a person's behavior changes over a period of time, from being a child to an adult to a parent, sometimes forced by circumstances, sometimes by loss of patience, sometimes due to lack of tolerance capability, sometimes by choice.
About how a saintly-happy person is forced to become sad-and-sentimental when gets Taken-For-Granted.
About how equanimity gets challenged by emotionality.
About how a goon can also become sentimental, searching for an answer after dwelling in a self-talk.

Soon the poem will be available in English as well as MaiKu Is My-Haiku version also.
